# Google AI Overview places and map schema

> Schema for the place cards and map entries in the Google AI Overview for local queries.

This section documents the **places** and **map** data in the [Google AI Overview](https://cloro.dev/docs/api-reference/endpoint/google/ai-overview). For local queries, the AI Overview shows place cards.

## Places and map structure

| Field | Type | Description |
| - | - | - |
| `result.aioverview.places` | array | Place cards in the AI Overview (when present) |
| `result.aioverview.map` | array | Place cards Google geo-tagged, with coordinates (when present) |

`places` has the same structure as AI Mode [places](https://cloro.dev/docs/api-reference/endpoint/aimode/places.md). `map` has the same structure as the AI Mode [map](https://cloro.dev/docs/api-reference/endpoint/aimode/map.md).

Google also lists each business in [`sources`](https://cloro.dev/docs/api-reference/endpoint/google/ai-overview/sources) with a `google.com/searchviewer` URL. That URL is the place's `link`.
