# Google AI Overview related links schema

> Schema for the related links in the Google AI Overview: URLs a citation chip groups under "View related links" that are not in the sources.

This section documents the **related links** data in the [Google AI Overview](https://cloro.dev/docs/api-reference/endpoint/google/ai-overview). A citation chip can show a **"View related links"** flyout. It holds URLs that Google groups under the chip but that are **not** in the [sources](https://cloro.dev/docs/api-reference/endpoint/google/ai-overview/sources.md) rail, for example a Google Shopping comparison link. These URLs go in `result.aioverview.relatedLinks`, so they do not add to `sources` or `citationPills`.

Each entry has the `citationPillId` of its chip. A related link has **no `position`**, because it is not in the sources array.

Related links also show in `markdown` as inline `[title](url)` links. Thus `markdown` can contain more URLs than `sources` and `citationPills`. The extra URLs are always the related links in this array. The field is omitted when no chip has related links.

## Related link structure

| Field | Type | Description |

| `label` | string | The related page's own title (e.g. `"Compare developer laptops"`). Can be an empty string when Google sends no title. Use `domain` or `url` to identify the link. |
| `citationPillId` | integer | Matches the `citationPillId` of the chip's [citation pills](https://cloro.dev/docs/api-reference/endpoint/google/ai-overview/citation-pills.md), so you can group related links with their pill. |
| `url` | string | Direct URL of the related link. |
| `domain` | string | Host extracted from `url`, for grouping and display. |
| `description` | string | Snippet Google sends for the related link. Omitted when absent. |
