# Google Recipes schema

> Schema for the cards of Google's Recipes carousel returned by the Google Search endpoint, including source, rating, total time, and ingredients.

The [Google Search endpoint](/docs/api-reference/endpoint/monitor-google) returns the cards of Google's Recipes carousel as `result.recipes`, on desktop and mobile — no separate API call. Only the cards in the page as first loaded are returned: typically 3 on desktop and 4 on mobile.

In the United States, Google's mobile page shows recipes as a longer list instead of a carousel. `recipes` returns each card in that list (8 to 18 in our tests). These cards do not include `ingredients`.

`recipes` is omitted from `result` when the carousel is absent — treat it as optional rather than expecting an empty array.

## Recipe structure

`position`, `title` and `link` are always present. Every other field is included only when Google shows it on the card.

| `title` | string | Recipe title as displayed on the SERP |
| `link` | string | URL of the recipe page |
| `source` | string | Name of the site that publishes the recipe |
| `rating` | number | Average star rating (0–5) |
| `reviews` | string | Review count as displayed by Google (e.g. `"7.1K"`). Not normalized to a number. |
| `totalTime` | string | Total time as displayed by Google, in the language of the SERP (e.g. `"1 hr 10 min"`). Not normalized. |
| `ingredients` | string\[] | The ingredients Google shows on the card — a short selection, not the full list |
| `thumbnail` | string | Recipe image: an image URL or an inline `data:` URI |
| `redirectLink` | string | Google's `/goto` redirect for `link`. See [Redirect links](/docs/api-reference/endpoint/google/resolve-goto). |
