The top 10 domains account for 16% of citations and the top 25 for 27% — less concentrated than the "everyone cites the same few sites" assumption predicts. 707 domains (62%) were cited exactly once, which is why this page publishes the whole list rather than a top ten.
Cited domains grouped by how many of the 5 engines used them, as a share of all domains and a share of all citations. The two rarely match.
Domains only one engine cited are 75.0% of the list but just 30.9% of citations. The 1.2% that all 5 engines cite carry 12.0% — these are the sources the whole market is reading.
Domains belonging to a brand on one of the leaderboards are 6.2% of everything cited but 17.7% of citations — engines lean on vendors' own sites more than their share of the source list implies. The rest is third-party: the reviews, forums and docs deciding these categories on someone else's page.
