Every domain the engines linked as a source while answering buyer questions across twelve software categories. These are the surfaces that shape what AI recommends: if your category is decided on someone else's page, this is whose. Read it to see which publishers and comparison pages the engines lean on, and whether your own domain is among them.
Domains ranked by citation count, from most-cited to least, against the running share of every citation they account for.
Domains, ranked by citations
The top 10 domains account for 14% of citations and the top 25 for 25% — less concentrated than the "everyone cites the same few sites" assumption predicts. 738 domains (58%) were cited exactly once, which is why this page publishes the whole list rather than a top ten.
Cited domains grouped by how many of the 5 engines used them, as a share of all domains and a share of all citations. The two rarely match.
Domains only one engine cited are 76.4% of the list but just 33.6% of citations. The 1.2% that all 5 engines cite carry 11.9% — these are the sources the whole market is reading.
Domains belonging to a brand on one of the leaderboards are 5.4% of everything cited but 25.1% of citations — engines lean on vendors' own sites more than their share of the source list implies. The rest is third-party: the reviews, forums and docs deciding these categories on someone else's page.
